The Kitchens Robina

I am so excited to announce my new partnership with The Kitchens at Robina Town Centre. I lived on the Gold Coast for over four years, before moving to Bali. I loved living on the Gold Coast and The Kitchens was a favourite spot to pop into after shopping and grab a healthy meal. During my visit to The Kitchens, I visited a few of my favourite vegan places to eat; Naked Treaties, Elixiba, and CocoWhip.

Mermaid Bowls

Mermaids, unicorns, galaxies, and basically anything rainbow is the current trend in the foodie world! We are seeing more and more rainbow coloured foods in our daily newsfeed. From rainbow sushi or galaxy donuts to unicorn toast. I am obsessed with vibrant, colourful foods, particularly when it involves an array of veggies! Here is my recipe for a rainbow mermaid sushi bowl, inspired by the sea. 

Balinese Dragon Smoothie

My balinese dragon smoothie is an absolute fav of mine, so much so that I have been downing one of these every day for the past month! Dragon fruit may seem like a strange tropical fruit that you don’t know what to do with it, but this smoothie is an excellent way to try it, and get addicted. 

My fav 5 eats on the Gold Coast

Stuck for Sunday brunch spots? Planning a visit to the sunny Gold Coast? Well I've lived on the Gold Coast for 4 years now, so thought I would share with you my fav 5 eats (especially for vegans/vegetarians) with a photo diary at each place. 

This is a special dish from my recent travels to the Cinque Terre villages in Italy. Using Trofie pasta that I brought home with me, and a homemade pesto based off traditional Italian recipes. This is a traditional linguarian dish that is incredibly delicious 

Peanut-Butter Fudge Protein Bites

These little bites are the perfect little treats to store in your freeze for those three-thirty sweet cravings, put on skewers to make fruit kebabs as a party snack, or to top your smoothie bowls for a little extra yum! The peanuts and vegan vanilla clean protein give these treats a good punch of protein. I have even included a sneaky little smoothie bowl recipe to help you get creative with these protein bites. 

Chocolate-Matcha Loaf

Light, moist, chocolatey green tea loaf, topped with delicious coconut frosting and tart fresh berries. I am sitting here typing this, knowing we cleaned up the last slices of this cake last night. 'NOOOO!!' I actually ate the last bites wanting to cry because I kid you not, this loaf is my favourite treat recipe to date! Coming home from a long day on placement and settling onto the couch with a slice of this is the best!! Chocolate and matcha is my few favourite combo, and you just have to give this a go!

Raw Matcha Lime & Vanilla Cupcakes

Matcha Green Tea, what is it? and why is everyone addicted? well it's sure got me hooked! Have a look at this recipe for matcha powder meets lime, vanilla and cacao, combined with a creamy cashew mixture to make a delicious and fresh raw dessert.

SO crazy, but you know what else is crazy? how delicious these hot cross buns are. plus they are dairy free, vegan, low in sugar, high in fibre, and low in saturated fat. These homemade hot cross buns must be apart of your long weekend plans :)

Happy International Waffle Day! I've whipped up a totally delicious and totally wholesome vegan waffle recipe for you all to enjoy on this day to celebrate waffles. Wholegrain's, healthy fats, fresh berries, and a little bit of dark chocolate- because being healthy is all about moderation. ;) I hope you love this recipe as much as I enjoyed creating it, and of course eating it! 

Creamy Date No-Tella

That creamy date no-TELLA recipe is finally here for ya'll! Woohoo! This one is perfect for spreading on toast, topping your pancakes, adding to smoothies or making treats. (actually just a spoon and the jar is all you'll need) Made from all whole ingredients. 

It's free from refined sugars (I use dates), high in fibre, free from dairy, and totally delicious . 

 

 

Far North Queensland Wanders & Eats

Well, this week was one of many firsts for me. Ever wanted to travel to beautiful locations, take photos, and check out the local food scene, for work? 

Well the past week, I've been adventuring around North Queensland (Cairns>Townsville>Magnetic Island) with my twin sister, Lauren (@gypsea_lust), and her partner, Khy (@khyorchard) for Tourism Queensland and Tourism Townsville, to get a feel for living a gypsy life! 

Yep, I was sent along to capture some of the eats that North Queensland has to offer, as well as the beauty and nature in the region.
